This course not only aligns the whole turnaround team – it also motivates and wins the timely support of peripheral personnel throughout the site who must feed into the turnaround preparation process. This training deepens the understanding of the entire turnaround team regarding best practices for delivering the most successful turnarounds.

The integrative nature of turnarounds involves coordinating multiple processes and systems. This applies through all the core competencies of Work Scope Development, Planning, Scheduling, Cost Estimation and Management, Execution Planning, Bid Package Development, Contracting, Execution and Closeout.

This training program will assist managers and turnaround team members in learning and applying turnaround fundamentals. The use of these basic turnaround principles will increase core competencies and set your program up for success. In addition, it will allow you to involve the right people at the right time to address the right issues and make the right decisions. This includes Turnaround Managers, Turnaround Core Team members and Project Controls staff, as well as anyone in supporting departments such as Reliability, QA/QC, Operations, Environmental and Safety.

What You Will Learn

Students learn the ins and outs of turnarounds from front-end loading requirements to post-tar closeout functions. This course overviews the job functions of every major discipline associated with turnarounds and shows planners, schedulers, process operators, procurement personnel, cost personnel, execution personnel and others how to interact with and how to best support each other in synergized pursuit of turnaround improvement.
